Racial Kinesthesia and Self-fashioning for Survival
Drawing on the book Black Dragon, my talk considers racial kinesthesia as one of the ways in which Black people have responded to the confinement and violence of anti-Blackness through both corporeal and social movement practices found in cultural disciplines such as East Asian martial arts.
